Morocco Desert Tours – Ourzazate To Zagora Desert 5 Days Trip
Day 1: OUARZAZATE – TODRA GORGES
Departure from Ouarzazate by SUV for Tinghir passing by a lake, the palm forests of Skoura and the valley of roses, visit the Dadès gorge and lunch there. Continuation in the afternoon to the gorge of Todra via Tinghir, dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 2: TODRA GORGES – ZAGORA
Departure from the gorge of Todra for Zagora, via the road and 13 kilometers of unpaved path until Alnif, visit a Kasbah, presentation and explanation of the local minerals and fossils. Lunch. Then crossing if the Drâa valley, also called the « valley of a thousand Kasbah », Tazzarine, Tanssikht and arrivat at Zagora in the late afternoon, where we will stay the night in a hotel.
Day 3: ZAGORA – ERG LIHOUDI (M’hamid)
Departure from Zagora to Erg Lihoudi, called the « Jew’s dunes ». Quick stop at Tamegroute, visit of the Coranic library and pottery studios. Then, arrival at M’hamid where we will eat lunch. Then, twos hours of camel riding until Erg Lihoudi where we will arrive for the sunset and stay the night in the bivouac.
Day 4: ERG LIHOUDI – ERG CHEGAGA
Departure from Erg Lihoudi towards the dunes of Chegaga that tower 300 feet in the air. Trek on camelback until Oued Mezouaria and then we will continue with the SUV. Passage by the sacred oasis, lunch. Arrival at the dunes of Chegaga for the sunset, then traditional nomad evening and night in the bivouac.
Day 5: CHEGAGA – OUARZAZATE
Departure from Chegaga to Ouarzazate via Iriqui,Foum-Zguid. Lunch at Taznakht. Continuation in the afternoon to Ouarzazate.
