Agadir Erg Chegaga 5 Days Tour Program
Day 1: AGADIR – OUARZAZATE
Departure from Agadir in the morning by SUV, headed southeast. Visit of Taroundant (medina, souk, palace…), lunch at Taliouine, then continuation to Ouarzazate through Tazenakht, and visit of the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (classed as a world heritage site by UNESCO). Night in a 3 star hotel or riad in Ouarzazate.
Day 2: OUARZAZATE – TINGHIR
Departure from Ouarzazate in the direction of the Kasbah-lined road to arrive at El Kelaa M’Gouna (the town of roses). From there, a small loop around the valley of roses via Bou Tharar and return on the road. From Boumalne in the Dadès you will arrive at the gorges of Dadès. Pursuit to the gorges of Todra, night at Tinghir.
Day 3: TINGHIR – ZAGORA
Departure on the road to the heart of the Saghro range, to arrive at Alnif and Tazzarine. After lunch, you will continue your road across the Boughafer to arrive at the oasis of Zagora. Free time to visit the town. This region was the home of the Saadien dynasty that would conquer Timbuktu. Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 4: ZAGORA – ERG CHEGAGA
After breakfast, you will head towards Tamegroute to visit the Coranic library and the pottery studios, then you will continue to M’Hamid where we will eat lunch. After lunch, departure for the sea of sand. You will arrive at Chegaga, the highest dunes in Morocco at 300 meters high and 40 kilometers wide. You will admire the sunset and enjoy an evening colored throughout with Saharan song. Dinner and night at the bivouac.
Day 5: ERG CHEGAGA – AGADIR
After breakfast in the desert, departure in the morning towards Foum Zguid via the old Paris-Dakar route and the dried lake of Iriqui. Lunch at Taznakht and continuation to Agadir. Arrival in the late afternoon.
