Day 1: ARRIVAL IN MARRAKECH
When you arrive at the airport, our team will meet you and take you to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: MARRAKECH-ESSAOUIRA
Departure from the hotel at 8 AM, you will cross Arab villages before arriving in the outskirts of Essaouira where you will be greeted by Argan trees, trees that grow only in Morocco. Essaouira, which used to be called Mogador, in the Southwest of Morocco, is a beautiful fishing port, with a beautiful old windswept medina.
You will admire the « Porte de la Marine » and the Skala with its rows of bronze cannons. You will appreciate its nonchalant charm, its white houses, welcoming terrace-cafés, and its delicious fish. The unique atmosphere adds to the flux of people in the narrow streets that have inspired artists for centuries.
Day 3: ESSAOUIRA-AGADIR-TALIOUINE
Departure from Essaouira to Taliouine, via the Souss plain and Taroundant, one of the oldest cities in Morocco. You will admire its ochre-colored ramparts, well-preserved fort, and the focused work of the artisans in the souks. Lunch.
Then, continuation to Taliouine, and an afternoon to visit the town. Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 4: TALIOUINE-TAZNAHKT-OUARZAZATE
Departure from Tallouine in the morning by SUV, headed southeast, then continuation to Ouarzazate through Tazenakht, to see the carpet-makers’ collective, and visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (classed as a world heritage site by UNESCO). Night in a 3 star hotel or riad in Ouarzazate.
Day 5: OUARZAZATE-DADES-TODRA
Departure from Ouarzazate in the direction of the Kasbah-lined road to arrive at El Kelaa M’Gouna (the town of roses). From there, a small loop around the valley of roses via Bou Tharar and return on the road. From Boumalne in the Dadès you will arrive at the gorge of Dadès. On to the gorge of Todra, overnight in Tinghir.
Day 6: TODRA-ERFOUD-MERZOUGA
After breakfast, departure towards Erfoud via the Ziz valley, dotted with palms. Lunch. Then, continuation towards Erg Chebbi’s dunes. Your caravan will depart, letting you admire a sunset on camel back.
Day 7: MERZOUGA-ZAGORA
From Merzouga, you will go via the legendary Sijilmassa, famous today for its date market, and the Tafilalet Valley, historic cradle of the Alaouite dynasty that has been reigning over Morocco for three centuries. Then Alnif and into the Draa Valley. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Zagora.
Day 8: ZAGORA-MHAMID-ERG CHIGAGA
After breakfast, departure in SUV towards M’Hamid. Stop at Tamegroute to visit the library, Kasbah and pottery studios. Then, continuation until M’Hamid and lunch. In the afternoon departure from M’Hamid via camel back with an hour of trekking to arrive at the bivouac of Erg Chegaga. You will then stroll around and take a sand bath. Dinner by the fire and night under the stars or under the tent.
Day 9: ERG CHIGAGA-FOUM ZGUID-MARRAKECH
After breakfast in the desert, stroll by camelback and lunch. At 1 PM, departure towards Foum Zguid via SUV on the old Paris-Dakar route. Lunch on the road. You will arrive at Marrakech at around 8 PM.
Day 10: MARRAKECH
Free day in Marrakech to explore the city. Dinner at the hotel or a riad.
Day 11: DEPARTURE FROM MARRAKECH
Transportation to the airport and assistance with embarkation.
