Morocco Desert Trek 8 Days Program
Day 1: MARRAKECH
At your arrival in Marrakech, our team will drive you to your hotel where dinner will be served.
Day 2: MARRAKECH – ZAGORA – OUED BOUATTACH
Transfer Marrakech – Oued Bouattch, dinner and night at the bivouac, and chance to meet the camel handlers.
Day 3: FAÏJA – DJINEYA
Departure for crossing of Faïja (Steppes dotted with acacias). Picnic in the shade. In the late afternoon, the bivouac will be set up for a night under the tent or under the stars, your choice.
Day 4: DJINEYA – OUM LILI OASIS
During the morning cool, you will cross the Djebl Bani by the Djineya pass. A panoramic view on the immense green ribbon of the Draa valley will greet you. After a lunch break, you will continue walking until you get to the Oum Lili Oasis, where the bivouac will be installed.
Day 5: OUM LILI OASIS – ACACIA PLAINS – LAMRIR
In the morning, you will traverse an acacia plain, and after a lunch pause, you will head for the dunes of Lamrir where you will arrive in the late afternoon. Night in tents under a plethora of stars.
Day 6: LAMRIR – ERG MEZOUARIA – OULED DRISS
Your day will be passed among dunes where progression will be slowed. In the afternoon you will continue your road towards Ouled Driss where you may shower and sleep.
Day 7: OULED DRISS (M’HAMID) – MARRAKECH
Early in the morning, you will leave the camel handlers and the camels themselves to return to Marrakech via the magnificent Draa valley. After a roadside lunch, you will return to Marrakech in the late afternoon.
Day 8: MARRAKECH
Depending on departure time, you will have a certain amount of free time, then transfer to the airport and assistance until boarding.
